Significance of Holy Week
• Holy Thursday – The Institution of the Holy Mass.
• Good Friday – We commemorate Jesus’ death on the cross for our salvation.
• Holy Saturday – Through the Paschal Mystery, we have been buried with Christ in Baptism so that we may rise with Him to new life. Let us renew the promises we made in Baptism—rejecting Satan and his works—and commit to serving God faithfully in His Holy Catholic Church.

Important Reminders
• Fasting – On Ash Wednesday and Good Friday, Catholics abstain from meat and limit themselves to one full meal and two smaller meals.
• Easter Flowers – Envelopes are available in the back of the church. If you would like to place a plant in memory of a loved one, please include their name on the envelope.
• Sick Calls – Available anytime at 763-226-1626. Please inform Fr. John if someone is hospitalized or sick at home.
• Easter Offering Envelope – Prayerfully consider what God is calling you to contribute to support the continuation of His work through Sacred Heart Parish. This year, the envelope is designated for the church insurance ($3,200). Please help us reach this goal. Thank you for your generosity.

Expecting Afflictions
I am not surprised that you are going through a period of spiritual affliction. Our present life is a way and not a terminal, weariness, not repose, warfare, and not peace. We must put into practice what the Holy Spirit tells us, "Wait for the Lord with courage; be stouthearted and wait for the Lord" (Psalm 27:14)
Prayer: I believe in my mind, Lord, that this life is a way, a time of pilgrimage to the homeland of heaven. But I find in myself the desire to have all problems solved here and now. Give me the faith and courage I need to keep going and to trust you for the end to all affliction.
