Longing for Heaven
What will it be like when we shall sing without ceasing the eternal Holy, Holy, Holy, when together with all the saints we shall sing that most sweet Alleluia! How will our hearts feel, and our spirit, when we are united with God as molten iron, it is united with fire! Without ceasing to be iron, it seems all fire. So we will be transformed in God. Oh, when will we see that day!
PRAYER: Dear God, you long for me and for all of us to be together with you in the joy of eternal love. Yet I think so rarely of heaven. Remind me often, Lord, that I am on a pilgrimage to you and give me the joy of anticipation!
